Who we are.

We are a multi-generational family.  Grandpa, grandma, daughter, and the grandkids seven and ten years old. We live on seven acres in the valley just east of the Pacific coast range.  It is beautiful here, but when it is wet it is definitely wet.  We have started our little farm with twenty chickens, two goats (Bonnie and Clyde), and several barn kitties.  We are hoping to incorporate a couple cows or more, maybe a donkey too this spring.  Definitely more goats, a green house and garden.  You see we bought a fixer upper that we have spent the first two and a half years working on.  While we continue to work on the house the next couple projects will be farmed out to our newest family member boyfriend Tim, and we have his two cute children half the time (kindergartner and third grader). When the kitchen gets a gutted and remodeled, we are hoping to do more of our own baking and canning to be better prepared for the winter and just daily life and less dependent on the grocery store.  Our town only has one main grocery store for the over 16000 residents.  We have almost completed the remodel of our downstairs bathroom and laundry room, but have two kid's rooms, flooring and master bathroom to complete, and many acres of brush to clear. We would like you to take this journey with us, and maybe we can get some tips from you all and maybe you can learn from some of our success and failures.  Thanks for coming along!
